What is Clear Choice?
Clear Choice is Commerce Energy’s clean energy program, powered by new wind energy. It offers you a broad and ever-increasing selection of premium, clean energy service plans. Commerce Energy’s Clear Choice service plans contribute to a cleaner environment and are competitively priced.

What is premium, clean energy? "Premium" means we buy our wind power from recently constructed facilities that meet not only environmental standards but also market demand. Electricity from these new clean energy facilities replace traditional energy sources typically powered by coal and other non-renewable, fossil fuels. The more wind energy generated by new wind facilities and purchased by customers like you, the greater the positive impact on air quality, our skies, our communities and the environment in general.

In addition, all our Clear Choice service plans are Green-e certified.

Who is Green-e?
Green-e is the nation’s leading certification and verification program for renewable energy. The Green-e logo identifies clean energy programs such as Commerce Energy’s Clear Choice service plans that meet stringent criteria and undergo annual audits to verify that a customer’s purchase was completed as advertised.

As part of the certification, Commerce Energy can now use the official Green-e logo which identifies certified renewable energy options. The Green-e logo is a symbol of the high standard of renewable energy that Green-e supports and Commerce Energy is committed to providing.

Clear Choice is now being offered to Commerce Energy's residential and small business customers in Maryland and Pennsylvania.
